How to use the Mindset Medicine app

1) Identify your unhealthy mindset when your thoughts and emotions trigger you. Pull out your phone and open up the Mindset Medicine app!

2) Find the unhealthy mindset in the alphabetical list of over 40 “stuck” mindsets in the Mindset Library based on the first letter of the word. For example, if you're feeling Anger, you’ll find it in "Mindset Library A-F."

7) Observe the magic that happens!

8) Over time, as you practice more, your resolve will deepen and your quest for healthy mindsets will become habits.

3) Notice that each stuck mindset is paired with an "unstuck" or growth mindset to work towards.This is where you activate your power to choose how you respond.

4) Reflect on the MindsetRx “prescriptions” in the form of several thought-provoking questions. Answer each question truthfully and completely. Pondering these questions will help you:

  • Shift to a healthier mindset before you speak and/or take action.

  • Foster empathy and allow you to give yourself and others grace.

  • Examine the assumptions, made-up stories, and biases that might be skewing your mindset.

5) In conjunction with the MindsetRx questions, practice one of the Active Mindfulness Moments to get your mind and body in sync when you’re triggered into a stuck mindset.

6) To sustain healthy mindsets, consult the Hell Yeah Habits, a list suggested resources and proven tools to do on a regular basis.
